COMPANY HISTORY

1909

Founded by Franz Xaver Huber in Wessobrunn, near Weilheim.

1913 Re-located to Oberdießen next to Landsberg.
1918 The company´s founder married Maria Neher. The further extension of the company was made with combined effort.
1922  Whole product range gets branded "Karwendelspitze".
1926  Buchloe in Allgaeu becomes the headquarter of the Company.
1948  The second generation assumed the administration of the family owned company.
1951 "Karwendelspitze" was replaced by the brand "Karwendel".
1969  Start of the Soft Cheese production under the brand "Exquisa".
1984  Expansion of the Soft Cheese assortment with french positioned soft cheese under the brand "miree".
1987  The 3rd generation enters the company.
1992  Start of the production of Exquisa Fromage Frais. Within a few years Exquisa became the market leaders with Fromage Frais 500g.
1993  Certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001.

2000 

Launch of Exquisa Fruit & Fromage Frais.

2001 The 3rd generation assumed the leadership of the company.
Oktober 2001 Successful introduction of Exquisa fitline - the first soft cheese with only 0,2% fat.
Februar 2004 Exquisa launched the first Cottage Cheese with only 0,8% fat under the brand Exquisa fitline.
Mai 2005 The innovation: Introduction of the first Slices of Soft Cheese on the German market.
